Our little Fijian friends out at Pacific Harbor.. We have had a few nice excursions in Fiji and hope to take many more. We are enjoying the temple work. It keeps us very busy but it is very rewarding. We love the weather and scenery. We just wish we could ship some of it home for the harvest there...

This is our view from across the street from the Temple.. So beautiful! We walk past here in the mornings on our walk. I so enjoy the warmth -- not too hot and nevery cold. A nice little breeze usually blows to keep us just right.

Well, we have past the one week part of our Mission.. It has been a very busy, overwhelming week, but we are starting to learn a few of the procedures that we are expected to know.. We are starting to recognize faces but the names do not come yet.. This is a beautiful country with kind, gentle, loving people here.. Everyone is our friend and we always get a peck on the cheek.. We miss home and family and friends, but we will focus on our work here in Fiji.

We are Ready!

We will leave Glenwood at 9:15 AM tomorrow morning (Thursday June 24, 2010). We are very apprenhensive about leaving our family, friends and our home, but we know we are going where we need to be at this time in our lives.
We hope that everyone stays, happy, healthy and successful while we are gone.
We will keep in touch on a regular basis.

Another month has gone by!

April is nearly over and the busy month of May awaits us. Most of my important tasks have been put off until May. We have about 7 weeks before we leave for our mission. I wish I could wiggle my nose and be in Fiji without all the worry of Customs and Security at the airports. Spring has arrived in Alberta and I am itching to get out digging in my flower beds, but the warmth has not arrived yet. I will be patient. I will post again the end of May.

MARCH 10/2010

WE WERE JUST INFORMED YESTERDAY THAT OUR PLANS WERE CHANGED AND WE WILL BE GOING TO THE MTC IN PROVO, UTAH AND WILL BE LEAVING ON JUNE 24TH. WE WILL STAY WITH GRANT AND SHANNON FOR THE WEEKEND AND THEN ARRIVE AT THE MTC ON MONDAY JUNE 28TH FOR A 2 WEEK STAY -- THEN ON TO SUVA FIJI. I HAVE ALREADY BE ASSIGNED TO HELP THE TEMPLE RECORDER IN THE TEMPLE OFFICE IN SUVA -- A VERY LARGE ASSIGNMENT, I MUST SAY. I AM VERY NERVOUS AT THIS POINT.
